Alcoholic beverages such as wine and sake are highly delicate, making proper packaging essential.
To prevent breakage and leakage during transportation, please follow the guidelines below.
① Protect Each Bottle Individually
We recommend wrapping each bottle with cushioning material (e.g., bubble wrap) in at least two layers.
Pay special attention to the cap area, as it is particularly vulnerable to impact.
To prevent leakage, securely seal each bottle using plastic wrap or zip-lock bags.
② Secure Bottles to Prevent Movement
To minimize damage during transit, ensure that bottles do not move inside the box.
Fill any empty spaces with materials such as newspaper, foam, or air cushions.
Ideally, there should be no movement or sound when the box is gently shaken.
③ Use Double Packaging for Extra Protection
For enhanced safety, we strongly recommend double packaging (inner box + outer box).
Please also attach a “FRAGILE” label to the outer carton.
④ Consider Temperature Control
Wine and sake are sensitive to temperature changes, especially heat, which can affect flavor and quality.
During warmer seasons, it is important to use:
- Cooling packs
- Insulation materials (e.g., styrofoam boxes)
to maintain stable conditions throughout transit.
